How it's built
Recurring daily. Live on each programme boundary.
Every themed block is a single row in the catalog DB — a name, an era, a UTC start minute, and the one or two shows we're staging for the window. The schedule is recurring, not day-keyed: today's 06:00 marathon is tomorrow's 06:00 marathon, the 23:00 creature feature always lands at the same UTC minute.
The countdown above is anchored to the server's clock on first paint and self-corrects the moment the boundary is crossed by re-pulling the schedule. Featured show chips are hydrated from the same Show catalog that powers the Now Playing strip on /watch, so what's "staging" here matches what's actually about to air.
